Dig Gardens began in the heart of Santa Cruz, California, and over the past 20 years has grown into a go-to spot for plant lovers, gardeners, and design enthusiasts alike. Founded by husband and wife team Will and Cara Meyers, Dig started as a small garden store and has since blossomed into a thriving lifestyle brand that brings inspiration to homes and gardens across the Central Coast and beyond.
With Cara’s eye for interior design and retail, and Will’s deep roots in horticulture and landscaping, the two combined their strengths to create something special: a place where beauty, greenery, and creativity come together in every corner.
Our Two Locations
Our Santa Cruz flagship store is tucked right into the pulse of the city and spans over 9,000 square feet. You’ll find a vibrant mix of houseplants, pots and planters, unique home goods, and a constantly refreshed selection of rare orchids and trending greenery. Step into the outdoor nursery and you’ll be surrounded by cacti, succulents, patio furniture, and lush inspiration for your outdoor space. It’s a favorite for locals and a must-stop for tourists, and continues to inspire visitors from all over, from plant novices to interior designers looking for something truly unique.
A short drive away, our Aptos location, once known as Hidden Gardens, offers a quieter and more tucked away experience. This quarter-acre garden center is packed with everything you need to build your outdoor space: soil, annuals, perennials, veggie starts, fruit trees, and more. There’s also a small version of our lifestyle shop, stocked with indoor plants and curated home accessories. It’s a hidden gem for anyone looking to grow their garden or their collection of beautiful things
